My origins are east coast: born in Brooklyn, New York, raised in New Haven and West Haven, Connecticut. I attended undergrad school at UConn and Southern Connecticut State College and received my MS from the University of Bridgeport. I taught 2nd grade in CT and then moved to CA with my husband, Don, in 1974. We moved to Rancho Bernardo and I have lived here ever since. I taught school in Valley Center from 1977 until 2005. Sadly, my husband died in a car accident in 2003 and I remain a widow. I have just completed the rebuild of my home, which burned down in the 2007 fires. I have a son, Joshua, and a daughter, Rebecca; a granddaughter, Samantha, and a grandson, Barrett.
